About NMC
A competition built by volunteers, for the whole of the total defence concept.

Total defence in practice
The total defence concept is "the sum of the country's civilian and military resources, which work together to prevent and manage crises, armed conflicts and war" (Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection).
In plain terms: when the worst happens, Norway meets it with everything society has - military and civilian, professional and volunteer. But the people who would stand side by side in a real crisis rarely get to train together.
NMC exists to be that arena. Medics from military units, police, ambulance services, fire and rescue, volunteer organizations and private actors test themselves in the same scenarios, on the same scale, and learn from each other across every line that usually separates them.

Who is behind it
A non-profit volunteer committee within the Norwegian Reservist Federation (NROF) plans and organizes the event.
The committee includes representatives from volunteer defence organizations, active-duty military personnel, reservists and healthcare professionals. Around the committee stands the real engine of the event: the volunteers - judges, role players, casualty make-up, logistics, liaisons and the command post.
We do not list them by name. Everyone here does this alongside a job, and several of them for organizations that would rather their people were not searchable next to an event. Write to the committee and the right person answers.
Contact
Everything reaches the committee at post@medicchallenge.no. One address, read by the people organizing the event.
